2013 is an exciting year. During 2013 the school celebrates its 75th anniversary since its reopening. (the school was established in 1845 and reopened in 1938) The P & F will be involved in organising this event.
Each year we have a Mother’s Day and a Father’s Day stall for the kids to purchase something small for their parents – they are sooo cute! Depending on the year we do bulb, chocolate or hot cross bun fund raisers for Easter. We also participate in the 'People’s Choice Community Lottery', have Family Photo days, lunch orders once a term, biscuit dough fund raisers and the list goes on… We also have a doughnut stand at most local events held in Tanunda. This raises a significant amount of money for the school each time it goes out.
While fund raising is an important role of the P & F, our focus is on building strong relationships in our school community. Our aim is to have a school where our children can learn and socialise in an environment where they feel safe. For this to be truly successful, parents are encouraged to take an interest not only in their child/ren, but also in their school.
For us to work hand in hand, supporting our school staff in education our children in God’s care, we encourage families to take an active part in any way to help our school community by helping out at working bees, sports day marshalling and umpiring, decorating and helping on stalls, catering or just volunteering in the class room and assisting the teachers wherever possible. Children enjoy seeing parents at the school taking part in day to day activities. Volunteering also provides an opportunity for families to get to know the staff and the admin team who so ably support them.
We invite you to be a part of a friendly and motivated team that is dedicated to making a positive input into the life of the school and having fun at the same time.

P & F Committee
The Parents and Friends Association of Tanunda Lutheran School gives parents an opportunity to play a supporting role in the running of the school. Each class has the opportunity to provide two parent representatives, who together with one staff member, operate as a sub-committee of the School Council.
The aims and objectives of the group are:
- To encourage active participation by parents and friends in the life of TLS.
- To promote friendship and co-operation between parents, friends, staff and students of the school.
- To provide opportunities for parents, staff and friends of the school to become better acquainted with and informed on, educational and social issues and needs.
- To raise funds in support of the school.
