Barossa Education Re-imagined

Students at our Middle School at Faith Lutheran College are very fortunate individuals.

Not only is there an extraordinary amount of choice for students to select different topics to learn about through our Elective Program (read more below!) but the way that students are being taught is inspiring. As an IB World School, through the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, students develop an international mindset through a focus on communication, intercultural understanding and global engagement.

The location of the College is second to none. Nestled in the beautiful Barossa, our students are inspired and educated daily about the industries that support the region and surround the College. Our Wine and Agricultural program delivers hands on winemaking and animal husbandry experience, performing arts students have access to a world class stage and theatre production house within the Barossa Arts Centre. Vibrant science facilities allow for exploration, discovery and learning. Maths, design, programming, and languages are just a few more of the subject areas available to our students.

If you are looking for a world class education, in a location that is world renowned, book an enrolment interview and undertake a tour of the school.

Middle School Elective Program

Did you know that each Semester there are over 20 different electives available to our Middle School students?

The College’s Middle School Elective Program is inspired by the students and the teachers and is designed to promote collaboration, resilience and problem solving, giving students extended opportunities to build relationships with teachers and their peers outside the classroom setting.  The program allows students to inquire deeper into an area that is relevant and engaging to them.

Here is just a small list of electives that have been offered:

Vex Robots, Book Club, Grow with Love Garden, Disney in a Box, Bear Gogoll, Sports from around the world, Healthy Body, Healthy Mind, Creative Writing, Yoga, Geocaching, Nao, Archery, Café, Netball & AFL 9’s, Fantasy Sketch Club, Share Trading, Small Motors, Movie Magic, Snack Attack, Not so ‘bored’ games!, Podcast, Cupcakealicious, Radio Station, Water Polo

Faith’s elective program reinforces the College’s overarching approach to teaching and learning which is to empower students to be co-creators of knowledge and develop skills relevant for the future.
